EDAC 634 GROUP 5 TRANSFORMATIONAL LEARNING


Abstract: As many of us may know, either by experience or proxy, not having full recognition, respect, not receiving up uptake in a supportive community, the learning experience is very discouraging. We have constructed a program that is tailored to providing alternative learning structures that deviate from the hegemonic teaching styles of today through  feminist standpoint. This programs is specialized to address the learning needs of individuals that are disenfranchised or from marginalized groups. By having students reflect on their identity, discovery of their own voice, all with in an empowering and a safe community, we hope that we can foster and creates a positive and impactful impression, that catapults learning into success later on in life.
